Thursday









Hello Every one,

With all the health facts and proven science of "Why you should Exercise", I still have a lazy nature about it. This year I have kept my early morning goals of stretching and doing a twenty minute walk. Yes, I was out in the bad rainy/snowy cold days. The benefits are my lungs expanding for more air and my immune system getting a boost. The other types of exercise I am avoiding , are weight training and the low cardio that my body needs.(I am whining about it). I do need to activate the sweat glands to release the toxins as well as mentally detoxifying. Exercise is a great stress burner. I need to create having fun and a positive attitude. The reality is I'm getting older and I must include physical activity at all ages of my life.

I passed by a bakery and got a whiff of Sweet Potato Pie baking. All I can have is gratitude that one time I could woof down three servings of Sweet Potato Pie. I had a full amount of that in my young life. Now, it is important to take care of my health. Back then my health was not a priority. Where to get the best dessert after dinner was. I remember traveling at night to Brooklyn for Junior's Blueberry cheese cake. Now, I'm glad I will not have to be sick again from the dairy products anymore. What was so fun in the beginning of going raw was learning how to make my own Raw version of pie by using of few of the old ingredients I used when baking a pie.
To make my own raw version of sweet potato pie is a basic walnut and coconut crust, yams, soaked dates and raisins, fresh orange juice, almond butter, cinnamon, nutmeg , ginger and honey to taste. Yummy !

I'm looking for other versions of Live Pizza to make over the weekend. I'll get back to you on that one.

I will leave you with a Strawberry-Banana-Romaine smoothie
1 cup of strawberries
2 bananas 1/2 bunch romaine
2 cups of water.
