The Power of 'Thank You'

Hello Every one

Hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend. A Quick fact : The first Labor Day in the United States was observed on September 5, 1882, in Union Square at New York City. It became a federal holiday in1894. Traditionally, Labor Day is celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of summer. The holiday is often regarded as a day of rest and parties. I follow the tradition of 'no whites after Labor Day'.
Just a thought.......What is missing in the majority of workplaces is the epitome of appreciation. Imagine how great your day would be if your boss greeted you and the employees with warmth and embrace. You would feel valued. Probably get more work done and take less breaks. Think how smoothly society would flow if everyone said thank you . I learned that, when you genuinely thank people, it changes who you are and how others react to you in powerful, positive ways. It energizes and creates a bond. It brighten lives.
Just a thought .

I had a pleasant holiday. I'll share one of my favorite dish to prepare. The Carrot Pecan Burgers recipe come from the 'Living on Live Foods' by Alissa Cohen. I love Pecans and This dish was to live for. The patties are moist and delicious. I topped them off with an awesome curry sauce.

CARROT PECAN BURGERS

4 medium carrots
1 cup of pecans
1 cup button mushrooms
1 cup of onion
3 tablespoons of cilantro
2 tablespoons olive
1.2 teaspoon dried fennel
1/2 teaspoons coriander
1/2 teaspoon curry
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
pinch of black pepper

1. In a food processor, blend carrots until diced.
2. add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
3. remove form processor and form into burgers.
4. Place burgers on a mesh dehydrator screen and dehydrate at 105 degrees for 7 -8 hours.

CURRY SAUCE

1 whole orange, peeled
1/3 cup raisins, soaked
1 large clove garlic
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger

blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth

NOTE:
The Dehydrator is the "Raw Food Oven". Make sure your dehydrator features a temperature control to enable you to maintain temperatures below 112 degrees. If the controls start high at 140 degrees or higher , it will destroy all the life properties you are trying to maintain.
